Below are some helpful sites for both Art and French.  You can use these sites to access additional information on topics, artists, and other things that we've coved in class.

Art links

Connections

This site gives a brief overview of some artists who were influenced by artwork outside of the western world.

Artcyclopedia

This site is an in depth source offering information categorized by movement, medium, nationality, and even gender of artists. It also offers links to many different museum websites and gives links for works by specific artists in that museum. 

Artist Search

This is a great resource to use to find general information about artists and artworks. The site is broken down by periods, schools, nationalities, and allows for searches for specific artists and their works.

KMA

This is the Knoxville Museum of Art's website. It can be used to find out about exhibits being shown here locally. It also has a calendar of events that are taking place at the museum if you are interested in attending.

Sketchbook Ideas

This site gives a list of sketchbook ideas. If you complete your sketchbook assignments early, you can do one of these for extra credit.

About France

This is the US French Embassy's website. It has a lot of great information about France ranging from history and culture to current events.

Informal French

A good site to introduce elements of slang and informal/spoken French.

This site has quizzes, cultural information, common mistakes, verb conjugation help, and many other helpful resources.

This site showcases French culture in the United States.
